Janus Ducklings, Vermont
I know it’s terrible to say this about my own work, but I love this picture. The way the line of light and shadow perfectly divides the two ducklings, who are looking in exactly opposite directions…I don’t think I could have done any better if I had been able to somehow pose the ducklings.
The title, of course, refers to the Roman god who has a face on each side of his head, so that he’s always looking forward and backward.
