Studio 60 and Sports Night
I’ve been watching Aaron Sorkin’s new show, “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip”, this season, and enjoying it well enough. But then last night I watched a couple of episodes of “Sports Night”, which I have on DVD. Why can’t Sorkin write like that anymore? Studio 60 looks very weak in comparison.

There was an article in the New York Times Magazine a few weeks ago about new dog crossbreeds, like the cross between a lab and a poodle, the “labradoodle”. One breed they didn’t mention was the cross between a bulldog and a Shih-Tzu, probably because it would have offended the delicate ears of the New York Times readers if they mentioned its name…
…the Bull-Shih, of course.

I walked past a psychic’s storefront the other day, and saw a sign in the window with the standard price list of “psychic” services, and a phone number to call to make reservations.

Back when I lived in Michigan and was in the car a lot, I sometimes listened to “This American Life” on NPR, and this Onion article definitely falls into the “funny because it’s true” category.
